WOW what can i say, it's been to long. this year has been wonderful!! basement suite is now completed!! mum has moved downstairs. our romance is very much alive and on fire again. but oops we left our bedroom windown open one time... have to watch that...lol our animals are all well, we got a new car we are leasing. we will soon be off camping at lizard and fairy lake. and we are preparing for halloween, yes you read it halloween!! we have a lot of preperation to do so i hope your not too chicken to come to our party. theme is death and decay. you know it's funny i am a christian, i love singing to God, but i also get my comfort zone from halloween. ever since i was a kid, i've found joy in ghosts, goblins, vampires, witches. it's weird i know, but i wouldn't be me without the weird factor. lol well, i'm glad to blog again, hope all that read this are doing well and life is being good to them. cheers

Hey everyone, if your looking for a scare i highly recommend grudge 2. Rob and I just watched it and well i can't sleep and i can't help but look behind me constantly, it had me on the edge of my chair and screaming and jumping all the way through!! And TENSE oh so tense. sorry i can't write any more I'm getting freaked again.... WAAAAAAAAAAA

Rob and i went to the Barenaked ladies concert here in Victoria and it was the only place in Canada that they had to put in a second show!! It was the biggest concert i'd ever been to and it was awesome!! lots of fun. here's a new song they sang and this is the video they put to it.... enjoy

WOW my gosh it's been a long time since i blogged!! Well since we last talked, things have somewhat calmed down, had a nice Christmas and New Year (went to Q years eve bash) then got on with life as normal. This past week has been kinda nuts, Rob and i have had a lot of late nights. At the same time we had great fellowship to with our new pastors and their son. Their son Tim reminds me soo much of my best friend Shawn, whom i sorely miss (he moved back east with his wife and baby girl just after Rob and I got married). We took him out on the town one night, i showed him my old hang out and we drove around some hot spots of Victoria. Tonight we invited him to a super bowl party at my husbands boss's church, had a fun time. It's really been a blessing to spend time with Tim. Thank the Lord i have not slipped back into a depression like last year and i hope it never comes back. In a peculiar way it was a life lesson. How life can be like a buffet, you just fill your plate too full the first time then go back for seconds that you know you don't have room for. I never experienced such an overload before, now I've learnt to pace myself more and to say no at times when people need help with things. I now know what burns me out. The pups just had their 1st birthday so i guess i can't call them pups anymore, i remember when they were born (what a trial that was). No doubt that added to the stress and burn out i got last year. Well I'm going to sign off for now, remember life is not a buffet you need to pace yourself so you can better handle what life has to load you up with.

Well hmm what can i say about this last weekend... it's been good, and at the same time it's been aweful! the awefulness started fri night. We were having a shower and mum came knocking on the door saying that downstairs flooded so we got out of shower and ran downstairs (after we dressed of course) the front entry of the basement was full with about 1 inch of water, so we worked to clean it up and tested where it came from. It seemed to come from anything that drained, so we couldn't flush the toilet for the weekend. After going to bed at nearly 1am i got up for work at 7am and got home at 2:30pm. Found that my hubby had been calling all morning to get a septic guy, cause our plummer was sure that our septic was backed up, 1 guy answered and said he could be here sunday between 2-4. We were at church and when we got to a friends after church i rang mum to see if she had heard from him and she said ya he came by at 11:30 and didn't even bring a truck, he came in a little white car and tried telling us it's not the septic cause our yard was dry. OK WHATEVER!! then we got home from church and poor mum had to do some icky stuff so we could use toilet again (i'll spare you details), then i started panicking and i got the phone book and dialed the bigest add of septic in the book, they answered! Praise GOD!! i told them all our woes about this weekend and the numpty that said he was going to help us and couldn't, they're sending some one out as soon as possible today. So here i am waiting, no shower since friday night, people have offered i know, but i have routines i do after my shower like powder up a storm and i wouldn't want to put other people through that trauma like my hubby.

So now for the fun this weekend.... well thurs night i made doe for sugar cookies and added flour and melted baking chocolate to it to make a christmas mansion. Fri night, rob and i rolled out the doe and cut the measured shapes, baked em, then in the windows i put crushed red and green candy's to make it look like glass. then when it all cooled, we put the sides together with melted white chocolate. Sat we were going to put the roof on...but we had all the craziness going on so i thought sat night would be better. We were relaxing in front of the tv when the phone rang, and since (as always) all the dogs were on me on the chair i asked rob to answer it. So he got up to go into the kitchen to get the phone and i heard a crash and oh CRAP, then he answers the phone and it's just someone for mum. he hangs up, comes into the living room and was really upset, i said what's wrong honey.... i broke the Christmas house into bits... i started laughing...LOL what else can you do after all the hours we both put into it and looking forward to putting roof on and decorating it....i made him feel better from all my laughing... church was good on sunday, there wasn't much we could do re the septic so other than all that we relaxed, watched our shows.... General Hospital, Ghost Whisperer, Supernatural.

so there's my weekend, NUTS huh. ta for now all
have i mentioned i love being a home owner.....
